Dr. Caingcoy was born on October 13, 1979 in Sinaculan, Kadingilan, Bukidnon, Philippines. He took his elementary education in the same town between 1986-1992. His secondary education was finished in 1999 at Sto. Niño High School, Dangcagan Bukidnon. After this, he entered at the Pope John XXIII Pre-College seminary at Implambong, Malaybalay city and after a year he was recommended to proceed and had entered at the Pope John XXIII College seminary in the same city. At the same time, he took his tertiary education at San Isidro College, Impalamabong, Malaybaay City, and eventually he finished Bachelor of Arts in Theology in March 2004. During his four years of collegiate studies, he also took a Bachelor of Secondary Education and Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. He earned several units in these programs. After his college, he had taught at Loyola High School Don Carlos, Bukidnon between 2004 and 2005. Though he was still in doubt with his vocation for the priesthood, he continued and pursued a Master of Arts in Pastoral Theology in 2005 at Saint Francis Xavier Regional Major Seminary, Catalunan Grande, Davao City. A year after, he went back and was hired again at Loyola High School until March 2007. Between 2007 and 2008, he transferred teaching at Xavier University Ateneo de Cagayan High School, Cagayan de Oro City. While he was teaching at this university, he took a professional education program. Months after, he took the Licensure Examination for Teachers, and consequently, he passed. At last, he found himself teaching in higher education institutions. He was accepted at San Isidro College in May 2008. He was plainly an instructor in two years. After he finished his Master of Arts in Education major in Administration and Supervision in 2010, he was designated as an OIC-Dean of the School Arts and Sciences. In 2011 up to 2013, he was given another administrative work as Dean of Student Affairs in the same college at the same time he was taking a doctorate degree. In April 2013, he graduated in Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Administration at Central Mindanao University. In May 2013, he was appointed as the Vice President for Research, Extension, and Development. Due to this challenging responsibility, he pursued Doctor of Philosophy in Development Research and Administration at the University of Southeastern Philippines. Currently, he is working at the Bukidnon State University, Philippines.
Some of Dr. Caingcoy's interest in research include educational advocacy, pedagogical leadership, assessment of learning, and research-based teaching.
