The Journal of the Legal Profession at the University of Alabama School of Law is currently accepting submissions for the Spring 2020 issue of Volume 44. The Journal welcomes all submissions related to legal ethics and professional responsibility. However, preference may be given to submissions related to diversity and inclusion, mental health, criminal justice, election law, administrative law, business, or technology. As the nation’s first publication exploring legal ethics confronting attorneys, The Journal strives to publish cutting edge articles on ethical issues and interdisciplinary scholarship authored by legal scholars, faculty, attorneys from diverse practice areas, judges, and social scientists.
All manuscripts should be typewritten in Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF format and double-spaced. The Journal of the Legal Profession currently requires conformity with The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citations (20th ed. 2015). Submissions are encouraged via ExpressO or Scholastica.
